The trek route that starts from Sari Village  takes one To Deoriataal to  Rohini Bugyal – Bhrujgali- Chopta- Tungnath (highest Shiva temple in the World), “third kedar” OUT OF THE FIVE KEDARNATHA SHRINES  from here it is a kilometer long, and a steep trek. Though shorter in distance, steep climbing makes this trek rigorous..


Arrive to Sari Village (base Camp ) from Haridwar ..

Drive from Haridwar to Sari takes about 10 hours. Expected arrival time at Sari is 5 pm.Camp overnight at Sari


Day 1:  Sari Deoriatal,
03 km, 1 hour trek

Sunrise at Deoria-Tal


The trail to Deoriatal starts right out of Sari. It is a well-laid one. It is a constant ascent to the top with medium gradient.You will reach Deoriatal in a couple of hours, covering 3 km with an altitude gain of 1,240 feet.Watch the play of the setting sun on Chaukhamba and Kedar peaks from Deoria Tal.

Day 2: Deoria-taal to Rohini Bughyal, 
8 km approx, 4 to 5 hours trek

Lookout for Kala Parvat, Kedar-dome, Chandrashila peak and Bisuri Tal on the way to your left.The trail goes past the lake, and then leads to the ridge right over Saari village.
The final walk to Rohini Bugyal is lovely with forests giving way to multiple clearings or meadows.Rest for the night at Rohini Bugyal – a picture perfect campsite with an incomparable views of sunset.

Day 3: Rohini Bughyal to Chopta –
7 km approx, 4 to 5 hour trek.

Today’s trek involves traversing the ridge of Rohini Bughyal to enter the meadows of Bhrujgali  through  a beautiful meadow of Malyadhar.Once you reach the lower meadows of Bhrujgali, look back to a breath-taking view of the forest ridge of Tikidi Khal and the peaks from Kedarnath side.It takes 1km more and you reach Chopta .

Day 4: Chopta to Chandrashila Peak 12900 feet via Tungnath 11,975 ft & back to Chopta, 11 – 12 km approx, 6 to 7 hours.


Hawand Kund Of Tugnath Mandir

The trek from Chopta -Tungnath is accessible via a cemented pilgrim trail.It ascends sharply. The walk is pleasant, but is a very steep climb.The trail passes through a section of Bhoj trees before the Tugnath temple. Look out for birds like Monal and Griffin vulture, which you will see in plenty here.


360 ‘ panaromic view from Chandrashilla Peak

The climb from Tungnath to Chandrashila is an ascent 600 feet and is a very steep climb.Once at the top of the peak, you get a 360 degree view of the mountains of Garhwal and Kumaon.Trek back to Chopta through the same route, and camp for the night.

– 235 km ( 8 – 10 hour drive).

Accommodation during the trek (camping  ie from Day 1 till Day 4)

  • Four times  meals a day – (all meals during the trek)
  • Trekking permits and forest camping charges

  • Services of an expert trek team  (guides, cooks, helpers)


  • Transport to and from the base camp (Haridwar – Sari and Chopta – Haridwar )

  • Food during transit is not included (to and from the base camp)
  • Backpack offloading charges – .Charges are additional for offloading last minute, on slope. The backpack cannot weigh more than 9 kgs. No suitcases/strolleys/duffel bags will be allowed.

Terms & Conditions

The trek fee includes all costs of the trek from the start of the trek at Sari  to the end of the trek at Chopta

Backpack carrying: We expect all trekkers to carry their own backpacks

ON SPOT OFFLOADING If for some reason a trekker is unable to carry his or her backpack, while on the trek  then he/she can offload the same by paying an additional charge. as per charged by the porter to be hired on spot.

Partial offloading is not allowed. Charges will vary for last minute on slope offloading. The backpack cannot weigh more than 9 kgs. No suitcases/strolleys/duffel bags will be allowed.

For any climatic changes or  unavoidable circumstances a buffer day may be provided. A minimal on spot fee would be collected from each of the trekkers.

The transport is arranged in shared cabs. Transport from Haridwar to Sari and return from Chopta to Haridwar can be arranged by us at an extra cost .Participants are expected to share the cost likewise.. We only arrange the vehicle pick up and drop.Hence we are not responsible for any issues during transport.
Drop out during trek: If for any reason a participant has to drop out from the trek on any day then we will  make arrangements for his/her return to the nearest road head. A staff will accompany the participant to the nearest road head.
 Fitness: A high altitude trek in the Himalayas requires considerable fitness.

 Non-liability: We are not responsible for any loss/damage of your gears/equipment or other belongings on the trek.

Payment: Payment for the trek can be done online through credit/debit card or net banking. Cheque/draft or cash is not accepted. Payment can be done only after you have received an email confirming your position on the trek.

Drinking alchohol or any form of intoxication during the trek is strictly prohibited. If found flouting the rules, your participation on the trek will be cancelled with immediate effect.

Documents required:

  • 2 photocopy of photo id proof (Voter Icard, Passport, Adhaar card) .Carry the original ID while coming for the trek
  •   2 copy  pass port size photographThe cancellation charges are as under:
  • Cancellation before  20days to the start of the trek  – 75 % refund Cancellation between 20days – 10days to the start of the trek —50% refund.
  • Cancellation between 10days – 3days to the start of the trek – -25%refund
    Cancellation less than 3 days to the start of the trek — no refund.
