PARANGLA TREK 2019

The trek is an ancient trade route between the Spiti in Himachal, Tibet & Changthang in Ladakh region & trek can be started from either Karzok village or from Chicham / Kibber in Spiti. The trail takes you to a maximum altitude of around 5600 meters to Parang La & follows the Pare Chu river which goes to Tibet & re-enters India.

Day 1 : Arrival in Manali . Stay at Manali Hotels .Rest & Acclimatisation in Manali

Day 2 : Drive to Kibber from Manali ( 200kms approx ) via Kunzum La . Stay at Kibber Hotels 

Day 3 : Rest & Acclimatisation at Kibber Hotels 

Day 4 : Kibber to Thaltak (Trek starts today )

Day 5 : Thaltak to Borochin Thaltak to Borochin Altitude :

Day 6 : Borochen to Parang La (18290 feet) to Dak Karzong 

 
Day 7 : Dak Karzong to Datang Yongma

Day 8 : Datang Yongma to Chumik Shilde 

Day 9 : Chumik Shilde to Tso Moriri 

Day 10 :Tso Moriri to Korzok 

Day 11 : Korzok to Leh

EXCLUSIONS
Airfares.
Meals during Hotel Stay

Any Joy ride or rafting.
Medical expenses and insurance of any kind.
Tips, laundry, liquors, wines, mineral water, telephone charges, camera fee and items of personal nature. Transportation is not on disposal basis.
It is strictly as per the program, any extra running will be charges extra.
Airport Pick up and Drop
Any personal porter charge
Charges INR 2000 for Buffer Day ( Refundable if not taken )
Any expenses arising out of unforeseen circumstances like flight delay / cancellation / hike in fare, strike or any other natural calamities or any emergency evacuation expenses during the trek. Any kind of expense if you are coming back from the trek before the scheduled date. No refund from the Trek Fee
Any other item not mentioned in the cost includes section.

Terms & Conditions

 

Backpack carrying: We expect all trekkers to carry their own backpacks

ON SPOT OFFLOADING If for some reason a trekker is unable to carry his or her backpack, while on the trek  then he/she can offload the same by paying an additional charge of INR 400.
Part offloading is not allowed. Charges will vary for last minute on slope offloading. The backpack cannot weigh more than 9 kgs. No suitcases/strolleys/duffel bags will be allowed.
For any climatic changes or  unavoidable circumstances a buffer day may be provided. A minimal on spot fee of INR 2000 /day to be  collected from each of the trekkers. which is refundable if not utlised
The transport is arranged in shared cabs. Transport from korzok  to  Leh  can be arranged by us at an extra cost .Participants are expected to share the cost likewise.. We only arrange the vehicle pick up and drop.Hence we are not responsible for any issues during transport.
Drop out during trek: If for any reason a participant has to drop out from the trek on any day then we will  make arrangements for his/her return to the nearest road head. A staff will accompany the participant to the nearest road HEAD at his own cost

 Fitness: A high altitude trek in the Himalayas requires considerable fitness.

Non-liability: We arenot responsible for any loss/damage of your gears/equipment or other belongings on the trek.

Advisory for Parangla Trek 

    • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
      Pay heed to the trek  leaders or instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound experience.
    • Donot attempt this Trek if you havent done any high altitude Trek before 
    • Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the trek.
    • Avoid trekking or roaming during the nights.
      Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek
    • While visiting the religious sites, do obey proper dress-code and do not hurt the local sentiments of the places.
      The tour takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.

    Drinking alchohol or any form of intoxication during the trek is strictly prohibited. If found flouting the rules, your participation on the trek will be cancelled with immediate effect.
